Very smooth black PVD finish. Hinge is stiff but snaps securely closed. Being worn in a nostril piercing and the hoop looks cool.

Very smooth, can barely detect the hinge/seams which is perfect. Comfortable in my septum piercing!
Easy to open and close.. the hinge is a little stiffer than others but I see no real problem with this. :)

Much easier to open and close than other hinged segment rings I've tried in the past and feels good quality. I wear the 8mm one in my septum piercing.

Had my helix pierced about 6 weeks ago with a labret stud but it was really really long and my hair, even when tied back, would get caught round the back and would make it really painful. 10 days ago, after roughly 4 weeks of having the piercing, I changed it to this ring (1.2mm x 8mm) which was really easy to get in and I have had no problems with it (other than the expected soreness etc with a new piercing) which is good because I get reactions to steel and some sterling silver earrings in my lobes. Was really easy to get in - the hinged segment just clips in really easily - and it hasn't fallen out or anything. I like how it looks and it makes cleaning really easy.
