Clitoris piercings pass through the clitoris and only possible if the clitoris is large enough. This piercing is relatively unusual and some people incorrectly refer to clitoral hood piercings as "clit piercings". The size and shape of the clitoris varies greatly between individuals so some women will not be able to get a clitoris piercing. The clitoris is usually piercer horizontally but can also be pierced vertically.
Curved barbells, circular barbells and ball closure rings can be worn in clitoris piercings but jewellery depends on your individual anatomy and the placement of the piercing. The clitoris receives a very good blood supply and usually heals well. Wear breathable, non-restrictive underwear and air the piercing when possible to keep it cool and dry. If this piercing becomes infected it could lead to cystitis so any signs of infection should be treated immediately. We recommend abstaining from sexual activity until the piercing is completely healed. Clean with saline solution as needed and avoid swimming or submersion in water until healed - we recommend taking showers rather than baths.
Clitoris Piercing Healing Time: 2 to 12 weeks
