Eyebrow piercings are pierced vertically through the eyebrow and are usually placed at the outer edge of the eyebrow. Eyebrow piercings can be pierced anywhere between the outer edge of the eyebrow and the point directly above the centre of the eye. The three major supra-orbital nerves are located inwards from this point and if piercings are placed any nearer to the nose there is a risk of damaging them.
You can wear a BCR, circular barbell, barbell or body spiral in an eyebrow piercing but short barbells and BCRs are most common. The eyebrow usually heals rapidly but extra care should be taken to avoid knocking the eyebrow when dressing etc. Even gentle knocks to an eyebrow piercing during healing can cause damage or migration. This piercing should be cleaned at least twice daily with saline solution. Avoid swimming and submersion in water until healed.
Eyebrow Piercing Healing Time: 4 to 8 weeks
