The rook is the highest fold of ear cartilage, between the daith and the ear-rim. This part of the ear varies from person to person but if a careful angle is chosen this piercing should be possible.
Ball closure rings, barbells and circular barbells can all be worn in a rook piercing. If the rook is small micro jewellery can be used but if the rook is extremely small or flat this piercing may not be possible. This piercing should be cleaned at least twice daily with saline solution. Avoid swimming and submersion in water until healed.
Rook Piercing Healing Time: 8 to 16 weeks
