Daith piercings are placed in the fold of cartilage that sits beneath the rook and is closest to the ear canal. A 'classic' daith piercing is pierced close to the ear opening but different placements can be used depending on anatomy and preference.
Ball closure rings, curved barbells and circular barbells are the best jewellery for daith piercings. This part of the ear is quite 'crowded' so micro jewellery may be necessary. This piercing should be cleaned at least twice daily with saline solution. Avoid swimming and submersion in water until healed.
Daith Piercing Healing Time: 6 to 18 weeks
