Bodz
I got my tongue pierced at Bodz by Carl. When I went I was unbelievably nervous, I told them that I was and they were extremely understanding. Shirley showed me a selection of jewellery that I could be pierced with (all sterilised, wrapped and clearly priced). I was called in right on my appointment time, this helped as the last thing a nervous client needs is to be waiting around wondering where the nearest exit is! I went into the studio with Carl. It was spotlessly clean. Nothing was cluttered and it was nicely lit. I was afraid it would be like an operation theatre, kind of cold and clinical, but it was really relaxing. I got onto the bed and was asked to lay down so I was comfortable. Carl marked my tongue with an antiseptic pen type thing. He did warn me that considering how my tongue looked that I may bleed quite a lot afterwards (which luckily, i didnt at all, i think it stopped after 20 mins) Next, Carl used a clamp to hold my tongue, I was told to poke it out as far as I could. To be honest, out of the whole process the clamping was probably the most uncomfortable part, still not at all painful though. Then he asked me to close my eyes. wiggle the toes on my right foot, then my left, then both together, as i did them both together i felt that it had been done as carl was screwing the ball on. he then removed the clamp and i got off the bed and he showed me to a mirror to look for a second and then took me to the sink where i had to rinse my mouth out for a good few minutes to reduce any initial swelling and bleeding. Luckily enough I didnt bleed a lot. And there wasnt any swelling really until the next day. After i left the studio, Rob was waiting to give me the aftercare information. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions. I was told to drink as much cold water and suck as much ice as I could. It was the hottest week of the year (august) when I got this done so my swelling did last a little longer, but this was as to be expected. Overall, it was axctually a really enjoyable experience and I am going back in 2 weeks for a new piercing. I healed really well and they were happy to answer any questions I had when I called (6 or 7 times! lol) over the next few weeks. Definitely the best reputation I've ever heard of for a piercing studio.... Posted by: Kelly (1 Feb, 2007)

Amazing
Robb did my first piercing - my lip in the centre, and he made me feel relaxed and not scared at all. I have since had my lobe and pinna done by carl - one of the nicest guys you'l ever meet. They use only the best equipment and all the staff are some of the nicest people you'l ever meet. Go to bodz.info to find out about their piercing techniques and opinions, they truly are proffesionals. Posted by: Ross (10 Sep, 2006)
