Pretty and translucent! (By Stoic - 25 May, 2009)

I really liked these, they weren't very comfotable at first but much better than steel had been.
Now they are really great for in between stretches and are not hard to sleep on.

I had used steel insersion pins to stretch to 15mm, then decided to use one of these.

Firstly they are translucent, not white like they look, but they are better clear!

I found that it was a little difficult to stretch to start with, due to no indication as to what size your stretching to.

But once I had got to a size I used a plug to keep my new stretch at that size until ready to stretch again. Towards the end of the taper I found the taper would stay in my ear with an 'O' ring behind it, and it was comfortable to wear, a little annoying to sleep on.


All in all cheaper than separate tapers, and look good once stretched to the largest point.

I previously used steel crescents to stretch, and found this a much more comfortable and painless experience. Also a lot cheaper.

The taper continues allthe way along the piece, so the back is slightly wider than the front at first, but I solved this by wearing it backwards overnight to even it out.

Very comfortable to wear during the stretch, even at night. The length can make them annoying when on the phone tho!

surprised to discover these were transparent as i thought they were going to be white. but the transparent actually looks really good..
not too in your face but really shows off the piercing as you can see all the way through

really easy to put through, took alot less time than i was expecting and didnt hurt at all.

oh and they're really comfy to sleep in :)

one problem i found is that unlike alot of tapers they dont have a 'resting point' at the end where theres no increase in diameter. this meant that the front of my stretch was slightly wider than the back of it which ment putting a tunnel in afterward slightly more difficult.

great product in all and saves buying a taper for every size you want to stretch!

I got the 11-16mm ones a week or so ago. I'd been at 10mm for a few weeks and expected these would take weeks to get all the way along. Within 2 days they were all the way in!! They're a bit cumbersome, definitely do the job, but I can't imagine having to wear them for a long time. They had a habit of popping out when i was on the phone too, so I was glad to get my shiny new tunnels in.

All in all, I was shocked and well pleased to have got from a 10mm to a 16mm in 2 days!
