I bought this ring for a selfpiercing of my left earlobe, and though the ring is of a high quality I wouldn't recommend it for a unhealed piercing since it's quite hard to insert (since the ends are domed inwards). And the smal segment is a bit hard to get in place with bloody fingers :D
Otherwise it's a great piercing, but make sure you get the thicker ones since they are easier to handle.

I buy these in combination with the steel segment rings and started to wear them up my ear in black/white/black/white patterns, it looks the best! Much more interesting than just having all steel jewellery, I really recommend these for the ease of maintenance, they’re incredibly simple to keep clean because can rotate through your piercing. I’m really happy with these, definitely would recommend it!
