Conch

The Conch is the large area of cartilage that makes up the back of the ear.

Ball closure rings, barbells, labret studs, circular barbells and curved barbells are commonly worn in conch piercings, however, this piercing heals quicker when a labret stud or barbell is used.

The conch can be pierced at larger sizes, sometimes 'punched' out with a scalpelling device to remove a round piece of the ear for a large piece of jewellery to fit.
