Default questions about frenum piercing

Hi All

I'm new to here and have a few questions if someone would take the time to advise that would be great.

Right first of I don't have any piercings tattoos or anything else at the moment. A total piercing virgin
I'm thinking of getting a Frenum piercing. The wife and I are swingers , and she recently came across! LOL a guy who had one of these and thought it was a very interesting and enjoyable experience. So it set me thinking....

The main reason I fancied a Frenum piercing is because I'm too chicken to have a PA, and would also like to be able to pee straight afterwards

The things I would like to know are:

Does it hurt? Like REALLY hurt? having nothing I can compare this with I have no idea what pain may or may not be involved

Does it really heighten the sexual experience for the guy?

Is a stud or ring better? can I swap and change?

Would I be "out of action" for long afterwards - as swingers I have a very active sex life and lots of different partners (not bad for a 40 something guy LOL) so wouldn't like to abstain a long time

Are there any complications I should be aware of?

If I don't like it, and remove the stud/ring will it just heal up?

I think that's about it for now - over to you guys

everyones pain threshold is totally different but you can expect to feel some pain, after all you are having a needle put through you. whether this is mild discomfort or excruciating pain depends on how you deal with pain.

try here to get a rough idea though: http://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/for...ead.php?t=7528

also, look here for some more info:

Also, just in case, note that a PA only has a rating of 3.4 here.

You will have to abstain from sex for a few weeks, might keep you from your hobby

Hi Moonie

Thanks for that info. This has brought a few questions to mind. Firstly it appears to be the case that a PA doesn't hurt much more than a frenum piercing? Can anyone confirm or deny that?

Secondly I'm a bit worried about this stretching or migration. Is it true to say (from my very limited knowledge) that as a frenum piercing is a surface piercing (yes?) the PA would not suffer frm this type of problem.

Another thing i'm a bit worried about is tearing the jewelry out during any particularly passionate sexual activity (we sometimes meet sexual partners who are particularly ... err... frenzied) and again it seems the PA may be the more resiliant or less likely to damage of the two?

I also posted a similar thread today on the forum at our swingers site - and got this answer which makes me wonder whether the PA would actually be the better choice. I hope it is OK to copy/paste this here

Hi Rick
The wife and I didnt know what to get each other for christmas, so we decided to get piercing vouchers for each other. She had both Nipples done and i had a PA, niether of us had been pierced before, not even ears!
I was very nervous about getting it done but in the end didnt need to be
It hurt for a split second as the needle went through and that was all the pain i felt. It took about 2 weeks to totally heal but i was back in action after 3 days.
I had a 2.4mm ring fitted and have just had the piercing stretched to 4mm and that only took 1 day to heal, i am hoping to get to 6mm
The wife loves it as she says there is much more stimulation and wont leave me alon!!!!!
wish i had it done years ago
good luck with what ever you decide and hope this helps.

Another concern I have is that I may change my mind or decide this was a lla mistake. I kinda assume the frenum piercing would heal itself if I removed the stud. How about the PA? It seems to me much more "severe"

Or how about I try the frenum, then if I like it, ditch that at a laterdate and go for the PA instead?

Advice please

Rick

For me my Frenum is nothing more than aesthetic, I find it quite impractical action wise and for this reason very rarely put the jewellery in.

Pain wise, its just a fine piece of skin and was like a little pinch.

Healed quite quickly.

My only reservations would be if you are having a few more partners than most that you would need to make sure you are extra careful as the jewellery will only increase stress to the frenum and possible friction to the underside of the glans making it more open to infection. I know its hackneyed, but always use condoms...

Hello Rick: I don't know how I lived to be 50 without a PA, it is wonderfully stimulating . It healed quickly no problems, pain wise i liken it to donating blood. how long does that hurt, till the needle pierces the skin...same thing. as for the frenums I got four of them and my both nipples done the same time, the nipples piercings...looks nice my my nipples sensitive . The frenums we're basic pinches to the skin, not painful at all. I'm getting 8 more on the bottom and 6 more on the top of the shaft, i have learned that it is much more stimulating for the girls to have them further down the shaft . Good luck
PA is the way to go !

Migration is certainly more of a risk with a surface piercing (which a frenum is) than with a PA.

don't think I can help with much else I'm afraid, not having either a PA or a frenum, but think about how much the pain will be, and what the reward will be. Personally I would prefer to get a PA, and if you want it that much, then just breath through the pain.

Whatever you do, make sure you go to a reputable piercing studio, who have done a PA before and are suitably qualified, and if it costs more then pay more (y)
