Correct size for a lip ring
I'm looking in to ordering a plain lip ring, but the only problem is that I've still got the original labret stud, as far as I know its the average size used in piercings.
So i was wondering what size Steel Bar Closure Ring, I should get.
Sorry if all that was confusing

You need to measure from the hole to the top of your lip, then that size will be what ring size you need.
If it helps, I wear a 8mm ring.

Most lip piercings are done with a 1.6mm Gauge, some with a 1.2mm Gauge. The diamiter depends on how far down your lip the piercing is, for example when I wear rings in my inner snakebites I wear 12mm ones although this is rather large 10mm is too tight. However with my outer snakebites, although I've not worn the right sized rings in them yet because they've not healed, I expect I would need to wear a 10mm ring.
You'd have to measur from the fisula to the top of your lip but the best way to find out is try a couple of sizes.

Just measure it yourself and try it out or go to a piercer and ask their opinion.

I'm assuming you know the gauge of the ring ?(most probably 1.2 or 1.6mm)
well all you need is a ring of that gauge in a diameter roughly the same size as the distance between the hole and the top of your lip
(most common sizes are 8mm and 10mm)Hi, I'm Al
